The team of Daisy’s Animal Rescue, Central Massachusetts Disaster Animal Response Team (CMDART), Julia Cuoco /MasterPeace Dog Training, and All Phase Glass of Grafton have coordinated an effort to get two separate loads of goods to Harvey pet people in Texas.
Much of this will be going to rural areas out of the hub of Houston in Harris County and South of Houston. This is a two-phase request of the Pet Rock event attendees.
Collection of pet goods: We are collecting a load of goods to go via a transport coordinated by All Phase Glass of Grafton who has graciously agreed to include pet goods in a large load leaving Monday 9/11. We will deliver our contributions from Pet Rock to All Glass on Sunday after the event. The All Glass goods will be delivered to the Houston Emergency Management Office of Homeland Security for Harris County. No $ funds are being requested or accepted for this delivery. Please DO NOT contact All Phase Glass on your own. We have strategically worked with the owner and appreciate your respecting this request.
Collection of goods and funds: A second portion of the goods will be added to a load already collected through MasterPeace to Joy Ride Rescue at a distribution source in Alvin, Texas. This will aid the following shelters and rescues: Dickinson, Pearland, Friendswood, Wharton, Lake Jackson, Rockport, Port Arkansas, and anything in between .We will then collect funds , goal $900, to go to Julia Cuoco to aid the payment of a Fed Ex transport coordinated through her family who works for Fed Ex.
Daisy’s Rescue and CMDART will be contributing a portion of our fund-raising for the day to this Alvin, Texas delivery. Others at Pet Rock are encouraged to help us reach the goal of $900 by the end of the day. Julia Cuoco will be at the CMDART booth to answer any questions and to verify the sources who will benefit from your giving.
We are limiting how much we take on Sunday so that it is manageable. Smaller, compact items are appreciated, leashes, collars, etc. Below is a list.
We will need people to load throughout the day and to help bring items to All Glass after the event. People are encouraged to wear your organizations identifying shirts or whatnot to get a nice photo of the effort if you can help load.
