- Central Massachusetts Disaster Animal Response Team (CMDART)
- Private Citizens for Pets in Peril/Juno
- Maple Farm Sanctuary
- Spay Worcester
- Foster Parrots
- New England All Breed Rescue
- Hudson the Railroad Dog
“Part of the mission of Pet Rock Fest is to educate people about animal issues by bringing groups throughout the region together on a day that celebrates kindness to animals,” said Founding Partner Charlene Arsenault. “But, also, it’s important to note that all proceeds donated at the festival itself and throughout the year go directly to helping animals. Charities across the country are struggling, and of course that includes those that are focused on helping animals. We are fortunate to continue this successful event and brand that still allows us to share our proceeds among those organizations that are doing work to better the lives of animals in our area.”
Organizations are chosen by Pet Rock Fest after investigating the work and reputation of the organization, as well as the impact on the welfare of animals in the New England area. Pet Rock Fest accepts suggestions for donations, and also strives to donate to a wide variety of organizations that focus on a wide range of causes. Please take the time to read about, and support, the organizations that were chosen this year.
“I am always so pleased to be able to support the amazingly dedicated animal welfare groups who attend the Pet Rock Festival. I wish we could do even more. They work tirelessly and are devoted to the cause of protecting, caring for and promoting kindness towards our very best friends on the planet! Here’s to an even more successful 2017!”
Pet Rock Fest gives its proceeds to worthy animal related charities that support a variety of causes, from shelters to law reform to farm animal sanctuaries.
JoAnn Griffin, LICSW, is president and team lead for CMDART, which has both supported Pet Rock Fest, and received donations from the organization for many years. “The gracious donation to the Central Massachusetts Disaster Animal Response Team (CMDART) has helped supplement training and pre-disaster planning activities with local emergency management and animal control in some of our Central Mass. communities. We are also saving to purchase protective covers for all of our response trailers,” said Griffin.
